The idea is to list some of the current web sites out there so you can get an idea of what other fans in Australia are doing on the net. To help break up the list they will mainly be grouped by State.

Metacrawlers and Metasearch Engines

Unlike search engines, metacrawlers don't crawl the web themselves to build listings. Instead, they allow searches to be sent to several search engines all at once. The results are then blended together onto one page.
Searching on Alta Vista recently the word anime was found on 838,476 web pages, manga on 985,720 web pages and Japanimation on 43,550. However only the first 200 web pages are listed in the results. If you only want to see what Australians are doing on their web sites you can try adding domain:au, site:au or url:au conditions to the search, but this will not help you find those Australians who have their web sites hosted at Geocities for example.
